4. not to be done, endured, etc., with any degree of reason or propriety: an impossible situation.

5. utterly impracticable: an impossible plan.

6. hopelessly unsuitable, difficult, or objectionable.

This is a very personal post. It exposes my weakness, fears, and probably will change the way some people see me. It does not matter. What matters is that people are hurting. Unemployment, illness, death, natural disasters, violence, economic meltdown, marriages, children…you name it, there’s examples everywhere of hurting people who seem to be in impossible situations.

Our Impossible Situations:

During 2009, we have experienced the following impossible obstacles:

Unemployment, Foreclosure, Lost child, Changed churches and church ministry, Start a new business

Our Response:

In the past, we made weak attempts to control these types’ situations. This year, there are too many for any normal human to control and resolve. We truly turned it all over to God for Him to deal with. We have focused our time, resources and energy in helping others. And most importantly we realize that God will protect and provide for us in His way and in His time – not ours.

The Result (so far):

We still have unemployment and little hope to find a new job. Instead we focused on what we were called to do, and have started our own business. We have sales leads even before we have opened our doors.

We are still in our home. The judge directed the bank to work with us. The bank agreed to a 90 day agreement that we can afford, and agreed that upon completion they will modify the loan to terms affordable on one income and close the court case.

God radically intervened in our son’s life and is working a miracle in his heart.

We changed churches and found purpose, great friends, and a pastor who is leading us spiritually.

Our lights are still on, food is on the table, and clothes are on our backs…we’re still financial making it. We found an investor to provide the start-up funds needed to get our business off the ground.

All of these things independently were impossible for us to achieve, yet they are being resolved, our marriage is stronger, we’re happier, and most importantly we’re calm. We have a sense of piece that can only be explained through grace. It’s not possible to explain all the things happening in our lives right now. In January of this year, everything seemed impossible – there was little hope. We now have piece and hope and know that no matter what happens next, no matter how difficult, we’re going to be okay.

The Challenge:

We do not understand it, but when we let go of control, we found piece, hope and resolution.

Are you trying to hold on to your problems?

Why?

You have no control over the situation; no control over what other people are going to do or say; no control over your finances; no control over your teen’s choices; no control over anything. God is in control and can and will resolve your problems and bring piece. He may not solve your situation the way you think best, but if you truly trust Him and allow Him to control your life, you’ll find the sleepless nights are gone and you’ll be at peace with the impossible situation you find yourself in.

What will you do? Take tighter Control or Release all control? The choice is yours alone.

What to talk more? Send me a message in the comments box. I would love to hear about your situation and help in any way I can.
